Philip Kamins
Mr. Kamins began working in the plastics industry as a Chicago teenager in the 1950s. After moving to California he started his own firm, Kamco Plastics, in 1963. Mr. Kamins combined good business sense with an excellent understanding of people – he was among the industry’s first to offer equity shares as performance incentives for managers. In 1971, he started PMC Global with the goal of creating a leader in the chemical and plastics industries before diversifying into the packaging, pharmaceuticals, food service and energy markets, among others. Mr. Kamins remains active in the day-to-day operations and strategic growth of PMC Global as well the company’s family office function, PMC Capital.
